Marxist And Post-modernist Perspectives on Literary Criticism

Literary criticism is most popular subject among the thinkers (literates) that indicates such meaning; the art or practice of judging and commenting on the qualities and character of literary works. So far, literary work evaluates according to social, cultural, traditional and linguistic facts. In fact, the literary criticism is a philosophical work and on one hand the person who criticizes a literary work, should have a philosophical view point. Otherwise it is difficult and not be a succeed critique. In consideration of Both Marxism and post-modernism which are very familiar to literary criticism and both have introduced various theories to this field. Likewise, both perspectives are contained different kinds of thoughts. This research is to examine that how mentioned movements regard to find out their perspectives on literary studies and also Do both Marxist and post-modernist perspectives on literary criticism consort with each other or not? In this research, a methodology which relates to philosophy field will be used instead of having methodology used in social sciences.
