I really enjoyed reading this book. Before I read this book I knew about marketing, but after reading it I know so much more about it. It helps people to understand how to be able to use Marketing effectively in everyday business. I plan on keeping this book for a reference guide in case I forget something or have a question about marketing. This book did a great job of explaining concepts, by giving good definitions of the concepts, and by making sure that it's points are understood. There is some kind of graph or figure on almost every page to help explain the concepts. I liked chapter two on Customer Satisfaction and LOYALTY. I thik that if you keep the customer happy at almost any cost then they will be a customer for life. This book has influenced my ability to understand people and what they want and how to give it to them.

The book titled: Marketing, Connecting with Customers is a great book. I used it for a Principles of Marketing class. When I came into the class, I had very little marketing knowledge. This book helped me gain more information about what marketing really is. I thought that having the vocabulary words and definitions on the side of the pages was very helpful. I liked how the book used information about companies that are really out there. The illustrations and graphics were great. I loved the use of charts. There was one on almost every page. With the help of this book, I've learned just how marketing is a part of the everyday life.
This is an Excellent Book!

I have found this book to be very helpful for any individual trying to have a better understanding of the principles applied in the process of marketing. This book, according to my understanding, has been designed to meet the needs of the average student searching for basic information as well as those individuals seeking deep comprehension of what marketing is all about. Through the use of a series of figures, pictures, real life experiences and applications, the authors make the book come alive and the concepts easy to grasp. I also consider it to be very important that this book covers, explains, and exemplifies five of the basic and fundamental elements in connecting successfully with customers (relationships, ethics, globalization, technology, and diversity). In conclusion I will qualify this book as an excellent tool to learn about marketing and all of the elements involved in this interesting subject.

Yes that's right. I am also a student of HLG and have purchased this book for principles of marketing. My name is John Long and I am an accounting major here in Hannibal, MO. "Marketing: Connecting with Customers" is high in entertainment value and at times I found it hard to put down (just kidding). But I gave this book 5 stars because it makes marketing as exciting as it can possibly be. I have used the text all semester and have found it very useful in my major. I especially find the chapter summaries and easy to locate definitions useful as they help me to review for tests over the material. The book is easy to follow and incorporates enough pictures, graphs, and real life examples that allow the reader to continue along without completely dozing off. Let's face it, it could have been a lot worse. But hats off to the authors of this text. They really have helped me to better understand the art of connecting with customers, while at the same time keeping my interest at a level high enough to make me want to learn more.

I thought this textbook was interesting and very easy to understand. It helped to have the real-life examples throughtout the text it makes the information presented more understandable. The chapter summary does an excellent job of summarizing the chapter with the key elements. I also like the key terms listed at the end of the chapter, it makes reviewing them easier. The illustrations and charts presented in the chapters are clear and informative. I wasn't sure how I would like my marketing class, but between the textbook and the professor, I have enjoyed it.
