I first read this book as a seven-year-old, and I loved every page of it. This is not to suggest that I think all seven-year-olds would enjoy it, mind; another of my favorites from the same age is Watership Down; it is, however, an excellent read for anyone even marginally interested in lions.

This is a great book!

This book is a wonderful way for people to realize the life of lions. I have wanted to study cheetahs or lions all my life so reading this taught me more of what I will need to know in order to pursue my dreams. It brings to life the hardships a pride of lions goes through during their lives. I reccommend that anyone interested in wildlife reads this book. It is interesting and anyone can read it. I read it when I was in 7th grade.
