Mammogram image classification using artificial intelligence

Breast cancer is one of the leading diseases that reflect the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the human breast. It can be diagnosed through multiple tests, including biopsy, ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and mammogram. Many cancers are not visible on ultrasound images. Because MRI cannot always distinguish between malignant tumors and benign illness, false positive results might occur. Breast biopsy might be associated with some possible side effects such as bruising, soreness, and swelling. Sometimes, unnecessary biopsies are taken, which is a highly invasive procedure as well as causes discomfort to the patients. Mammography, a specific sort of breast imaging that uses low machine dosage x-rays to recognize cancer at an early stage before even women have symptoms, was developed to solve these issues. Due to anomalies and the nature of human visual perception, it is natural that sometimes the abnormalities are missed or misclassified. To overcome this problem, we have used Artificial intelligence (AI).AI is the process of simulating human intellect in machines that think and act like humans. AI has the potential to detect significant interactions in medical images and is widely used in diagnosis, management of chronic conditions, provision of health services and drug discovery.
