Very damaged and worn

Unfortunately this book was not of great quality. Every page had stains/spills of some sort and the binding had been taped together, even though the book was categorized as good.

Make Way for Ducklings: beautiful illustrations and a story for every child ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Make Way for Ducklings is a beautiful story. The illustrations are wonderful, make sure to point out the love in the mother ducks face to your child. The book is an excellent opportunity to talk about compassion. Children will love this book..make it a keepsake. It does jot have board pages for young children, but toddlers can be taught to appreciate books and not tear pages.

Very cute story set in Boston

I really enjoyed this adorable story. The illustrations are very lovely. I didn't even know it was set in Boston. This would be a great book to introduce a new city to a little kiddo.

"Make Way for Ducklings" is one of my favorite children's books!

Kids will enjoy this darling book about a duck family and their adventures.

Excellent Book for Young Children

Aside from the beautiful art and endearing story, this book makes a great addition to any beginning reader's library simply for its use as a fun learning tool. There are forty-four sounds in the English language, and all forty-four of those sounds can be found in this book. The same can be said about Goodnight Moon. Be sure to give that book your attention, too! November 9-13 is National Young Readers Week!

Abran paso a los Patitos (Make Way for Ducklings)

This is a classic written by Robert McClosky in the 1940's, but is timeless like all classics. The duck parents are flying over Boston looking for a place to hatch their eggs and raise their ducklings. This version is all in Spanish, but I found out after ordering this book that there is a bilingual version also. It is a really long book to begin with so it would be interesting to see the bilingual version.

Abran paso a los patitos

A fabulous book and fantastically well translated by Osvaldo Blanco. Having read many books translated from English to Spanish, I feel that Sr. Blanco's translations are among the best and true to the original work.

A Classic Every Child Should Hear!

McCloskey's books were read to me as a child, and I loved them. This book was a favorite of mine as a library media specialist and is now a favorite of my children as well. I had the opportunity to meet the author and hear him tell of observing live ducklings in his studio/apt. when he was doing the illustrations because he wanted to draw them accurately. Children whom I've shared it with (they number in the 1000s)love the delightful rhyming names of the ducklings. I've given it as a gift many times as well! Enjoy!
