Magnanimity in the peripheries

The purpose of this book is not to provide solutions, a task more appropriate for social and economic researchers, politicians, and various elected government authorities. No, this is not what motivates this book; rather, it is how the author, from his personal and professional vision, but especially from his intimate experience through travels and journeys across the country, the knowledge of various cultures, people, idiosyncrasies, acts of solidarity, nobility, and selflessness, often heroically, has seen things that have been done, which have considerably elevated the standard of living of many people. Not only from a material or economic point of view, but also in the improvement of health, education, culture, art, human values, virtues, transportation, social relations, and even in uniting relationships between parents and children, and between siblings.

This book also aims to encourage new generations to do the same. It is not about great acts, grandiloquent actions, nor heroism or martyrdom, but about the small and simple act of helping a friend, a family member, a small community in the city, forming a small football club where values, discipline, effort, and high goals are transmitted through sport; ... a reading club, a film forum, even literacy, teaching to read, write, study grammar, but especially in our time, learning the digital language. Solidarity in the peripheries, with the less fortunate, who - as Mother Teresa of Calcutta said - are not necessarily those who have the least money. Sometimes there are people with comforts who live in loneliness, in existential emptiness, without direction, without an ideal to give their life for: to all dear readers, this little book goes, each of us can do something, give a little of ourselves, our skills, some of our time, from our way of being and of course, sometimes also give a little money.
