Magma

By Sandra Macek

Pursued by SciCorps drones, Eddie LeRoux arrives in Chileru uncertain of her life's purpose and annoyed by Cai Varela's lies of omission. He's not just an ambassador, he's President of Terra Faire, the vibrant, high-tech, hidden city where Eddie's been called to cure a disease that's ravaging its population. While her friends uncover the city's secrets, Eddie finds herself drawn into Cai's worries about his troubled utopian society. There are forces at work within their secluded biosphere that threaten the longed-for cure and complicate their ongoing efforts to heal the environment. Once SciCorps openly attacks the city, Eddie must decide: will she stay with Cai and build a life in Terra Faire, or will she return home and take her rightful place as the powerful Gran Bozan?

In this continuation of the Scorched Earth series, Eddie must choose-love and comfort, or a powerful throne? Only with the help of old friends and new can she make her decision. And once she does, there's no going back.
