Kaitlyn A. Bell was born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1992. She grew up in Howell, New Jersey, where she developed a love for learning about the world from her parents, who would often bring her to museums, even while on vacation. After learning more about the Spanish language and having visited many Spanish speaking countries while studying at Roanoke College, Kaitlyn was inspired to write about the world from the perspective of a suitcase she used to travel. Bell graduated from Roanoke College in 2014 and is currently a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Peru.
