by JTK
You are in for a ride of knee-slapping, stomach-hurting quirky laughter These non-stop, uproarious episodes take place in a general hospital where the doctors and staffs have more serious problems than their patients. This hospital is run by wacky characters like Dr. Don Juan, a lady's man who has not failed to kill every patient he operates upon; Dr. Kang who dates her patients just to get the RH-A type blood; Nurse Lee, a former supermodel, who gets diced into pieces in the hospital's high-tech preparation machine, and more Madtown Hospital is the essence of black comedy.

RAPID FIRE CRAZINESS!

This was my first exposure to the work of JTK and calling this book "Madtown Hospital" is a vast understatement. This is one hospital you don't want to be anywhere near if you get hurt or sick as you might not survive the experience. First let's meet the staff of this Manhwa, there's Dr. Woong-Dam who always seems to weasel out of doing surgery. By contrast, there is the womanizing Dr. Don Juan, who somehow manages to lose EVERY patient that he does perform surgery on. Then there is nurse Eunjoo O, an old, cantankerous nurse who's known for his quick fists as much as his nursing skills. Dr. Kang spends all of her time searching for a donor who has the rare type RH-A blood...and finally finds him in a poor street flower vendor who is only to willing to have his blood taken to be close to the beautiful Dr. Kang. Perhaps the strangest resident is Dr. Hoil Bae, a staff psychologist who walks around with a ventriloquist dummy that does all the talking and refers to the Doctor as his assistant Susan! The patients are little better as all manner of nuts show up in the halls of Madtown including Pinhead from Hellraiser, a mob boss who comes into have a tattoo removed and promptly dies before surgery can begin, and a girl who suffers from the sleep disorder Narcolepsy...and that is just the tip of the iceberg and Eunjoo battles the mob boss's second in command and a couple of volunteers run rampant. While not all of the humor works, there's so much of it and it comes so rapid fire that you'll hardly miss the jokes that don't work. JTK has a wonderful, wacky cartooning style that is perfectly suited for this over-the-top comedy. Reviewed by Tim Janson

This is a riot

This comic is hilarious. A lot of crazy stuff going on here, no wonder it's called Madtown Hospital, it makes a lot of sense. The name does the comic itself is just wacky.

Laugh your heart out for a treatment at Madtown Hospital

(WARNING: Over-production of endorphin in your brain. Contact Dr. Bae in case of an emergency.) From a psychiatrist with a multiple personality disorder, to a surgeon who has a perfect track record of losing his patients, you'll find Murphy's law in all of its glory here. This is truly an original. I have yet to read anything with so much side-splitting pain. My personal favorite is Dr. Hoil Bae who seems to use ventriloquism as a type of therapeutic device for the patients, and yet you're constantly asking if that is the case. Dark humor is to be found all over the place, and at the same time it is possible get a satirical glimpse into the reality of things through such a painfully funny work as this. You can revisit this one again and again without getting tired of its out-of-box humor.

The funniest and the craziest comic book there is.

If you are looking for a Dumb and Dumber kind of laugh but just a bit smarter this is the book for you. The story takes place in a hospital called Madtown Hospital where the doctors perform their operations in martial arts actions and nurses are ex-super models and so on. Every character is wicked and crazy but they all grow on you fast. The book is divided into chapters of episodes that constantly make you laugh. I don't think they have this book yet in stores. I read it online and am going to buy the book when it gets released. This book tops all the comic books I've read in the recent years. I would recommend this to everyone who's looking for a belly laugh.
