Madison is the capital of the 'Badger State', the home city of the University of Wisconsin network, a place of culture, art, literature, architecture, athletics, and community that makes it a very special part of the Wisconsin landscape. Now all these and more are memorialized a collection of full color images by Zane Williams in "Madison", a newly published volume of outstanding photography published by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press. Showcasing Madison's people and places, this is a superbly produced and highly recommended addition to personal and Wisconsin community library collections.

Madison Cleans Up Real Nice

Zane Williams has beautifully captured an idealized view of an America place with more than its fair share of fans. Madison, like any city, has many faces; this is the one we enjoy seeing. Those who have never visited will find it hard to believe a small midwestern city could have so much worth taking pictures of; those who live here, or used to, will recognize much of it and want a copy to keep with their favorite family photos.
