The comprehensive, hands-on tutorial/reference gives readers all they need to know for mastering Office 98 for the Macintosh. Bob LeVitus is one of the best-known writers and trainers among Macintosh users.
I agree that more advanced concepts are not covered adequately in MS Office '98 Bible (it's incorrectly touted as offering complete coverage), but this is a worthy purchase for beginner and intermediate users. The Top Ten Questions at the end of each application's unit offer great tips to at least a few of those nagging "why? and how?" questions. Format is appealing. Directions are clear. I favor Bob LeVitus reference guides.
Excellent reference text

This book is an excellent reference text. the Macworld Office 98 Bible is the manual that Microsoft fails to provide. It provides complete coverage and detailed explaniations of elements of Office 98 software not discussed anywhere else. From the novice user to the expert, Office 98 Bible has something to offer. Word 98 users will find this book extremely useful as will users of the other programs in Office 98. Office 98 also covers Internet Explorer a useful reference for those who use the internet. Office 98 At a Glance (Microsoft Press) does not cover many of the details discussed in Office 98. The Macworld Office 98 Bible should be included with the Office 98 software. Frank J. Sinkavich, Ph.D.
