Book Overview

A ferocious storm hits the Queen Charlotte Islands, capsizing Janna Morgan's small boat. Before she can drown, though, she is pulled to safety. Her saviour is Carlson Raven, a powerful, sea-loving man who thinks he's too big and too rough for a woman to ever love him. Raven falls for her - but is it merely gratitude she feels in return?

WHERE ARE ALL THE RAVEN'S.:))August 2002

I just loved this story, couldn't put it down.I had read Woman Without Lies years ago and loved that story also.Raven what a man!! what a hero !I found the story moving and the love between Raven and Janna passionate and exciting.Love Elizabeth Lowell books:):):)

Love song for my heart

If I ever had a perfect fantasy, this would be it. Gorgeous hunk of native american man rescues unhappy, insecure female. She of course is gorgeous in her own way. This is my favorite Lowell book, I have bought it 3 times, cause when I loan it out, no one will return it! The best!

Lowell at her best!

Jenna & Raven are so wounded . . . so fragile. They meet under heroic circumstances and Raven assumes her love is compassion, hero worship . . . that she's grateful to him. His own need for her inner strength and beauty stuns him. Jenna assumes no one can love her so he must simply be lonely. An "any port in the storm" type need. These two love each other so much but are too spooked to trust in their love. Their pain is so real, their love so uncertain that the final outcome brought tears to my eyes. And even though I re-read this one every year or so, their pain is just as fresh as the first time I picked up to book.

Elizabeth Lowell does it again!

This is the book that got me started on Elizabeth Lowell. I found it breathtaking. The sexual tension is incredible, and Lowell keeps it building all the way to the end. These characters grabbed my heart, and I hated to let them go. This is one that I refuse to loan out.
