This book is told from the standpoint of a cat, and it is astounding how much Gwen Cooper understands the way a cat thinks. It is hilarious all the way through, as the cat tries to make sense of her owner abandoning her, because she doesn't understand that her owner died. When you read the saddest part of the story based on a true story in New City of people being ousted from their apartments in order for developers to build expensive apartments, you understand the estrangement of mother and daughter and why the mother wanted to leave her cat to her daughter.
It's good!

Another great book By Gwen Cooper. Once again Gwen's ability to use language makes for a wonderful read. Just wait until you get to the dinner scene - it occurs pretty early. I am from back east so it was VERY relevant to me, I have been at dinners similar to this LOL!!! It is a wild scene and the star of that chaos is, well, who else but Prudence, the adorable cat <3 <3 <3 I don't want to say too much but if you do purchase it I think you will be pleased. There are perspective shifts and character development that I found pleasing - check it out :)
