A LOVE THAT TRANSCENDS TIME!!!

This is an unbelievable love story. This book was a fateful, generous gift from a girl who is, now, my girlfriend. Her message was simple: `This story is my dream for you and me.' Obviously, I had to read it asap. And WOW!!! Nothing could have been more flattering. After reading this book I felt compelled to reassess my love life. This truly is a wonderful love story of phenomenal dimensions spanning an eternity of destiny. The attention to detail behind the seriously complex plot was amazing and yet easy to follow. The intensely passionate love and close friendship between characters is extremely moving. This is definitely not some cheesy romance novel. Mike, with his strength of character, independence, resourcefulness, moves adeptly through three timelines and is driven by the passion for his soul mate, Miranda. We travel with both of them, and with sub-protagonists, from the western countryside of the 1800's to the contemporary of today with all inclusive challenges of both strife and sacrifice, as they attempt to impact history and continue on together with a love that transcends the boundaries of time. Unbeknown to Mike, Miranda possesses the real magic behind the mystery of time. Her patience and endurance pays off ten-fold when the climactic reunion culminates via the driving love that only soul mates could begin to understand. The remarkable characters of this romantic soul searching story are bound to capture your heart with their shared humor, love and passion for life. However, I found that the romance behind the SEARCH through hinting connections are what melted my heart and brought chills to my nape. It would be an unjust disservice to simply label this book a romance, as it is far more than that. It is a wonderful adventure story interspersed with historical events and authentic period detail. Relenting to fate amid life's challenges and sorrows is a task we experience vicariously with hope. The inner strife that Crystal faces is unparalleled to be sure. I truly hope to see what happens to this brassy, diva, hardship in the coming sequel. The author reveals the unfortunate of truth where, many times, in life's episodes of winners, there is almost always the dregs of losers. But Crystal is no loser! Her sacrifice is well received as her undying love is unrequited. The hind of her spark for life still lives in the embers of her broken heart. A message is granted us all in this story of fate. I have never read anything so promising of love to be found in the unusual. I would have to agree with the accolades this book has garnered. Perhaps I am bias, for had it not been for this book, I too, may have continued lost in search for my soul mate. I highly recommend this book for you...or for your soul mate!

Finding love has never been so sweet

This was an amazing book. There are long drawn out moments where nothing really connects with the other stories embedded in the book, but never fear...there are connections. You just have to get to the end. I loved this book. I cried happy tears at the end. Everything just fit together and I got chills up and down my spine when everything fianlly merged. If you read this book and get bored with the long drawn out areas, please, read on. You won't regret it. Oh, there are many many typos in this books, but after I got past all that, I was enthralled. This is a book I would read over and over again. I am a closet romantic and this just made my heart soar!

Beautiful, Enchanting!!!

I had no idea what to expect from this new author, with the reviews varying from one hint to another. So I accepted the gamble of another possible generic blur of insipid mundane. The first chapter immediately dives into historical backround of careful consideratons. I was impressed. Next came the introduction of the new time line with characters of real originality, heart and soul. And again, I was pleasently awed with the verve of this author. As an avid reader I found myself fostering an attachment to a story that grew momentum with every turn of the page. Before I realized it, I was 250 pages into a world that gave no hint as to where this exciting plot would lead proving I was hooked and compelled to finish the book in one sitting. Very few authors with allow the reader to delve so deeply into each character as K S Michaels has so generously delivered. Assuming the author is male, I would vouch his work will one day be a classic on every shelf of every household. I don't think we've seen the last of this lover of tale. I hope to see more soon from K S Michaels. This book amazed me.

just wonderful

I bought this book thinking it would be cheesy romance that consumes most of today's stories. I was pleasently surprised to find out that it goes much deeper than that. This is not a love which will pass with the summer's warmth, it has survived generations of troubled society and the general publics ignorance. It looks at your soul and makes you face facts about where you have been and how it has changed you. It is quite comforting to know that this author realizes that crazy feelings or nudges can actually mean something if you are willing to listen to them. I want people to read this and apply the underlining message to their lives.

An amazing love story

Love Returns Through The Portal of Time is the most beautifully written love story I have ever read in my life. From the beginning to the end there is never a dull moment. You will want to laugh and you will want to cry. This book is definitely a must read, it has just the right amount of everything, romance, drama, comedy, and action. You won't be disappointed. If you don't read this book you will be missing out on what could be considered the ultimate love story. It really is a "True Love" Story!!I absolutely loved this book, I loved it so much I have read it 3 times. I love the character from Mike, to Crystal and everyone else. This author really knows how to write a book and keep his readers interested. I would love to see this book turned into a movie. The most awesome and intriguing love story ever. I hope there is a sequel to this awesome book.
