Love Laugh and Row

5 Star Review by Bernadette Longu for Readers' Favorite -
"Love Laugh and Row by Trisa J. Louise is about a family who flees from Russia in 1906, away from the Czar and his henchmen who killed innocent demonstrators in 1905. The author takes one family on a journey to America where they hope to create a new life. This family takes life by the horns and doesn't let go, no matter what life throws at them.
The author catches the reader's attention from the opening paragraph to the very last page of the book and holds the reader spellbound. Trisa uses her characters to her best advantage to keep the reader interested, and a most unusual twist in the tale at the end will have the reader elated. This book is well worth more than one read and should have pride of place on anyone's bookshelf. Thank you for an exciting, very inspirational, and interesting read, Trisa. I really enjoyed it."

Indies Today Review -
"The death of a president, a country embroiled in one war after another, and societal mores are just a few of the external pressures. Meanwhile, their dynamic family changes in size and scope. But no matter the challenge, all the generations of the Kristoff family find a way to keep moving forward to follow their dreams."

Though inspired by a true story, this is a work of fiction. Love Laugh and Row chronicles the Kristoff family's life in America during the 1930s Depression, World War II, the Hollywood Blacklist, and how organized crime touched their lives.
You'll laugh and cry right along with the Kristoff family from 1929 to 1955.

Cautious Filippa, the eldest daughter of Russian immigrants, and her six younger siblings take chances and face adversity to find happiness. She and her sister Bepa go on a harrowing road trip in Bepa's 1931 Model A. They set out on Route 66 from Chicago, IL. to Santa Monica, California to find their brother, George. A well-intended visit turns into a new home and new adventures for the entire family.
Muscle Beach in Santa Monica, CA, becomes the family's playground. Filled with sun-soaked days watching gymnasts and weight lifters, they dream of love, opportunities, and stardom.

A hopeless romantic who believes in love, Filippa ignores her father's warning when she meets a poultry rancher who stands up to corrupt unions, owned by the mob.

George, a patriot, and a successful entrepreneur, left his businesses behind to fight for freedom in World War II. After the war ends he returns home to his high life.

Boris changes his name to Julian before he embarks on an opera tour. When he returns to Southern California, he meets a captivating songstress who takes vocal lessons from the same professor.

Anna falls madly in love with a young weight lifter aspiring to be Mr. America. But she's determined not to let anyone or anything stand in the way of a singing career.
