Lost in Education, begins with the question: "Where is the learning we have lost in education?" It takes the discussion of education on a journey beyond reform and revolution to the source of mindful learning. This theme is woven into a tapestry of essays revealing the consequences of not understanding who we are, the world we are creating, and the crisis it is producing. Several of the essays are mindful conversations presented as interview dialogues. The topics: education, person, world, and crisis, are infused with my own journey to the source of learning. The story of this discovery is included in the appendix, "My Shakuhachi Memoir." This experience and working with students as a learning specialist have inspired my inquiry into what has been lost in education.
