I think it is unfair to title many of the Don Nardo/ Lucent Books as "juvenile literature". Many people want to learn about many topics, but don't have the time to read a 700 pg book on each topic. These books are beautifully written and are a wealth of information that anyone would love to read. If you see these books, want to read them, but would feel dumb reading a "kids" book, get over it and read these books!!! These books are great - read them - you won't be sorry
A Great Book!

I loved this book. I didn't know all that much about ancient Rome before I read it, but it was so well written that I just kept reading. It's loaded with good information about the Romans and tells how modern scholars discovered these facts. It's written for school kids but there's more than enough meat in there for adults to get some real value too. I looked up the author and found that he has written many other books about Rome and other ancient peoples, and I plan to find and read some of these too.
