Gray Longwalker finally found out that he has a daughter - due to an add in a newspaper. Lauren Whitmore wants to adopt Sarah and has had the care of her for about a year since the child's mother died. After all that she has heard about Longwalker she is determined to do anything to keep Sarah away from her father. Needless to say there is bad blood between the townspeople and Longwalker, fostered mainly by the Buckmasters' talk and actions. No one knows that Longwalker has developed quite a reputation for gentling and taming unruly horses. One of the Buckmaster brothers is out to get Longwalker and in the end drives Lauren to offer her bunkhouse to Gray after the fire. Buck Buckmaster wants to marry Lauren and won't take no for an answer. The gray eyes gives away the parentage of Sarah, Lauren cannot deny Gray's fatherhood. Quite a nice bit of mystery - undeniable passion - to which Lauren and Gray fall victim to - Oh, yeah! PMS again. Can Gray use Lauren's deabilitating head-aches against her? Does he use Lauren's own desires against her? who is seducing whom? Well written until the very end - then just tidy'd up a little too fast. Still a very good read - nice plot - confused woman - wounded warrior - and more. Will Recommend --M -- enjoy!
