"Levi has a lot of thinking and a life-altering decision to make, but if it's ultimately left up to her soul, there would be no question of her decision regarding the two men."
Levi is tempting fate in her personal and ranch life when she runs into her high school sweetheart at a horse auction in Bozeman. Those long-ago smoldering flames started flicking when her eyes met his in that dusty auction house surrounded by horses and the smell of leather. The two lovers had no closure since they called it off, and seeing Crespin again sent her heart into a whirlwind.
Levi buys four paint horses Crespin has for sale at the auction, all of which are mustangs he's trained for extremely rugged trail riding. The next day, Crespin delivers the horses to Levi's ranch, and old memories begin to surface of the time he spent with her as a teen on Hank's ranch, and he has a gut-check moment about the woman he had let get away all those years ago. After he helps Levi get the horses settled, she convinces him to hire on to her ranch as a new ranch hand, and reluctantly he agrees.
Levi has decided to drive the wild horses off the main road within Yellowstone Park and push them over treacherous mountainous terrain in hopes of bringing the first three wild horses onto the backside of her ranch through the mountains with the help of Crespin's uncle Shomo who spent the past forty years as a ranger in Yellowstone he knows the map of the park better than anyone and being Native American with extensive experience with wild horses he is an asset to Levi on this dangerous venture. Shomo plans to ride his stallion named Kinta, which is out of the same Wyoming wild horse herd Levi and her wranglers plan to drive into unknown territory on a hope and a prayer to make it to her Montana ranch.
