I have lived on Long Island all my life, but never really appreciated its incredible history until I read Long Island: Our Story. I bought a copy for each of my children as a keepsake.

This is a great book. It's the stories that made up the Newsday series and might be the best book I've ever read on Long Island History!

Ilived on Long Island over 65 years, retired and now live in Fort Myers Fl.,I've learned more about Long Island in the past week since I got the book than I knew the whole timeI lived there! I'm am enjoying every page I read,I'd recomend it to every ex-L I'er.

A MUST-HAVE FOR A FORMER OR PRESENT ISLANDER.

This is the book to have if you want to know anything or everything about Long Island. I have moved to FLorida since my youth, where i grew up in Long Island. This book has made me very homesick. I'll be at JFK tonight!
