For all x, if x is a folk singer, x is groovy

Very readable introduction for UK readers but could be used more widely. The author uses examples about folk singers and the King of Rock and Roll as well as the traditional present King of France. I prefer it to Guttenplan.

A Customer from Hong Kong

This is a good introductory level textbook. It covers the basics of logic. The author summarizes each section with "boxes." The explanations are detail enough. I find it helpful as a reference to teach my students. The exercises provided are numerous and helpful as well.The deficiencies of this book are that sometimes there is too much verbosity, and that few of its conventions are not so "standard." Moreover, if the author can provide daily life illustrations, it would make the reading more enjoyable.
