This book is primarily intended for university professors and students of electronics, particularly second-year master's students in automation and systems. This document describes the specifications for logic automation systems using GRAFCET. Following a description of the automated system, the various components of the operational section (actuators, pre-actuators, sensors), the control section (hardwired logic, programmed logic, programmable logic controllers), and the monitoring section (programming interface, operation, and supervision) will be detailed. Subsequently, modeling and implementation using GRAFCET will be addressed through examples of specifications for industrial production systems for illustration. This is the first volume; in a second volume, we plan to implement the modeled GRAFCET by presenting the various existing techniques as future work.
