Dr. Thrasher plainly and thoroughly explains how God works His plan in and through each person's life. This text is a great help and encouragement for those searching and wanting to know God's plan and will for them.

Finally, a book that explains how to know God's will

Most books on the will of God teach how to make good decisions. Dr. Thrasher's book explains how we truly come to know God's will. Knowing God's will comes by knowing God. Dr. Thrasher explains that the problem with not understanding the will of God lies in our own search for it. Once we truly know the person of God, knowing His character and nature, we will come the His will. And then, we can live the life God has planned for us. A quote I often use in my own teaching comes from this book, "God's will is exactly what you would desire if you knew all the facts." Here is another quotable statement Thrasher makes in the book concerning Galations 4:8-11, "When we lose sight of knowing God as our personal heavenly Father, our Christian lives dwindle to a life of traditions and rituals." Simple, but profound. I recommmend this book to any Christian who wants to know God better and do His will.

Great book on the Character of God

This is a great book. The title is a little deceptive but it calls us to get back to a right perspective on God's will and that begins with understanding what God is really like. Thrasher's approach to the character of God reminds me of books by Tozer and J I Packer. If you like that stuff you'll love this. It is very readable and extremely practical in its suggestions. A must read!
