The reality of the fact that we are deeply loved by God, and that everything in our lives flows from that truth, develops deeper and deeper as our faith grows. As we believe Christ, we begin to understand that we exist both to be loved by God, and to live from that love. Our confidence is not based on how well we deal with pressure or expectations, but upon how well God loves us; His love does not disappear when we struggle. The word of God is for living, it is livable. Our faith in that word is what people encounter when they see us if the faith is real. The believer's rest is in Christ, and their resulting peace and security are revealed in the daily, common choices we make, and the words we speak. Believing that we are loved by God is not simply an idea we entertain, it is a life manifested in every detail: a testimony that can thus be believed in turn.
