Lipedema is a progressive condition. Symptoms compound as it develops and can ultimately affect one's mobility if left unaddressed. The fatty tissue of Lipedema is different than what is found in the tissues of 'normal' body fat. This abnormal fat secretes fluid. In the beginning stages, Lipedema may be mistaken as a simple case of cellulite or dismissed as common weight gain. As it progresses, in some cases, debilitating physical impairments may occur. It is my aim to bring education of this condition to the forefront. In this publication I will accomplish the following: * I will further explain Lipedema. * I will share the recommended treatments that doctors who understand Lipedema endorse. * I will address the effects that Lipedema imposes on the body and emotions of those who suffer from it. * I will share a very personal aspect of my story with you.The goal of this resource is to shed light on a Fat Syndrome called Lipedema.
