These nine stories are fictional portrayals of real-life characters from years gone past. No matter the tale, there's an element of truth to each one but to what extent is the reader's mystery. As truth is often stranger than fiction, it may be difficult to decipher which is which. ---

Time has a way of erasing the past and providing a clean slate for the next person to exist in what was or is a temporary domicile. When life takes us to a new abode, we know nothing of the joy or sorrow that once existed in that same space. If walls could talk, they would tell the story of those who likely suffered greatly or gladly. Those who enjoyed or endured their life while living in the shadow of a stranger.
