One must express himself habitually at his best if he would be free. He must be individual, unique. He is free when he has subordinated immaturity to maturity, crudity to refinement, evil to good. He is free from the domination of the developed by the undeveloped, of the mental by the physical, of the human by the animal. Unless one free himself, he must remain enslaved. There is no other freedom.
