Well Written Simplistic Study Guide

I must say this little book surprised me! I started reading it yesterday and took it to work to read it some more during my lunch break. I found the practical steps on how to overcome strongholds (a.k.a. bad habits, sinful thoughts, attacks from the devil) to be very useful and insightful. It was intelligently written and managed to get the point across most simplistically. I felt blessed that God allowed me to come across this study guide. Practical is definitely the right word for the information that you obtain from the book. It's not overwhelming and although I was aware of some of the things mentioned... reading what was said brought about a higher enlightenment and understanding and I found I learned quite a lot from it. I thank God for putting a deeper understanding in my heart. I love the illustrations and information concerning the separation from God and how the author explains (quite simplistically) how we as humans try to achieve our own sort of relationship with God or higher divinity/state (using human religion, new age practices, etc.) through what he calls "human effort bridges" rather than the only real bridge available -- Jesus Christ. Furthermore he provides insight that such practices are really works from Satan to separate us from God rather than bring us close to God and build a genuine relationship. Such things can be obvious to any human yet somehow he manages to provide a deeper insight through his practical teaching because he's not trying to speak to the reader as an ignorant but rather to provide more understanding to what is already known. The bulk of the book is scriptures but the practical teachings in between are wonderful and well worth the read, at least in my opinion. I treasure the whole book and consider it priceless and a blessing from God!
