Impressionism was a painting movement that emerged in Paris in 1874 and influenced other artistic manifestations, including literature. In their paintings, artists sought to represent an environment or a scene in such a way as to faithfully capture movement, light and colour. The ephemeral nature of everyday life and sensory resources also inspired the authors of the time, including E a de Queir s. This work aims to analyse the impressionist marks in Queiros's prose.
