This study is devoted to the analysis of linguistic means of creating virtual space in a fantasy work, using the example of A. Pechov's techno-fantasy novel "The Mockingbird" and the Russian text of the fantasy novel "The Last Wish," which is part of the popular "The Witcher" series by Polish writer A. Sapkowski. Through the analysis and classification of various linguistic units in the work, the methods used by authors of fantasy works to create original artistic reality are identified. The book may be useful in developing questions for the linguistic analysis of texts of this type, as well as for solving practical problems in literary translation.
