This story is full of April Fools.

Should you ask permission before you have a party? The book Lila's April Fool is a realistic fiction book By Francine Pascal's. The main characters are Lila, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Mrs. Otis. They are at school and home in Sweet Valley. Lila is the wealthiest girl in her class. Lila tells her classmates she can have a party, but she does not have permission. Pascal's writes so many Sweet Valley Kids series like Lila's Haunted House Party, Left Out Elizabeth, and Jessica The TV Star. The theme the writer is trying to get to is don't be a brat. I think the weak point is a little too much talking. The strong point is Pascal's doesn't make the books too easy. It sounds like a girl book, but it is for boys too. People should read it if they are 8-12 years old. Remember to have permission to have a party before you invite people.

"Who's Fooling Whom?"

Lila Fowler is used to getting her way. So when she plans a big party, inviting her entire second grade class, she's shocked when her father tells her no. However, unbeknown to Lila, Mr. Fowler plans on having the party anyway, as a way to teach her a lesson. Everybody knows about the surprise party, except for Lila.Meanwhile, Mrs. Otis, their second grade teacher, intends on dying her hair bright red as a way to teach Lila, Ellen Riteman, and Jessica Wakefield a lesson about looks not being important (particularly about hair), after Mrs. Otis caught the three girls teasing Amy Sutton at the beginning of "Lila's April Fool."As shown, Lila is twice the butt of everyone's April Fools' joke. While it's nice to see her a little humbled, since she's a mean snob, I thought it was a little much. Plus the whole party secret was a bit too complicated. Still, young Lila fans should like this one, even though she's the April fool.
