The book is a visual essay resulting from a study of applications by LIDAR.
The applications illustrated here depict the deployment of these technologies both in the air and on the ground. Such applications are often intended to measure, locate, and/or visualize complex scenes composed of both natural and manmade objects. It is interesting to note that such scenes may concurrently involve situations both above/below the ground and/or above/below water.
This book simply illustrates enough applications to illustrate what can be done today and what might be able to be accomplished at some time soon.
