Great decorating resource

This a terrific book. It is a must-have for anyone who wants to decorate their home in a comforatable, stylish manner. There are so many beautiful photographs that will inspire the decorator in you. I had white slipcovered furniture and no clue what to do with them. I now have a beautiful living room that is unique and gorgeous. Get this book!

A book for the decor-impaired

I have to tell you how much I like this book. First of all, I am very busy--single mom, working, blah blah. Definitely too busy to decorate and when I do have the time, I don't have a clue how to go about it. My rooms end up looking like a hodge-podge, and not in the cute, shabby-chic kind of way. I had actually called an honest-to-goodness licensed Interior Decorator out of desperation, even though I couldn't afford it. And then I saw this book. And I canceled the appointment with the decorator lady. Why should I pay her what I already paid these guys to do? They told me what I needed to know to make my rooms look better. More cohesive, more stylish, and more comfortable. Which is all I wanted. The book is easy to read with lots of good pictures and common-sense advice for pulling rooms together. Best of all I could use a lot of what I already had. Good book, great investment!

Decorating With Lulu

This is one of the most fun and interesting decorating books that I've ever read! And I've read a lot of them. The day I received this book, I could not put it down and read it from cover to cover that night. I found both the writing style and content informative and easy to read. Plus, the photos are inspiring. But my favorite, and my daughter's favorite, is the absolutely adorable photos of Lulu the dog. Is she available for adoption? This book will definately get you off the couch and into decorating your home.

A Simply Fantastic Read!

I thoroughly enjoyed leisurely leafing through these pages of interior design counsel. I plan to do it often! Just as the furniture is toned down without losing any "toney" impact, the writing (I notice since I am a writer) gently guides the reader to a variety of ideas. I was not talked down to with over-the-top in-the-know design jargon, nor was I left feeling I'd just read the longest sales pitch this side of QVC! It was as if I had just sat down with my personal interior designer who miraculously somehow knows exactly what I want without a peep from me. A very "comfortable" read while draped over my Morgan leather chair and sipping my double expresso cappuccino. Thank you Ms. Drucker! (oh yea, Gold and Williams too) I feel designer-empowered!!
