Search Your Soul...Or Die Trying What does it take to find your true inner self? Zen's memory has been wiped, and he can't remember if he's a killer or a hero. And a lot of people will do anything they can to keep it that way. At an abandoned military base, Zen finally finds the truth about his identity. Now that he knows who he is, does that mean his destiny is written in stone? Conspiracies, espionage and attempted coups d' tat all tie into the conclusion of Aya Kanno's intense tale of lost identity.
Both books are well drawn and plotted, it starts climatic and doesn't quite stop or slow down. Which for its dynamic is great. This series, from the authors own words, was meant to go on apparently for quite a few volumes. For whatever reason Shojo Beat or the author did not continue. It suffers greatly for it. Because it was so short it could not focus on Zen's backstory too much of and the books leave you hanging as a result. I enjoyed it, however after realizing the end of two was the end it was a bummer.
