Leaving a Legacy

We were all born for a purpose. Father God knew His plan for each of us before we ever drew our first breath. The purpose He has for you is unique to you. No one else can fulfill your purpose because no one else is you. Moreover, the call and destiny on your life isn't just for you; it is also for those around you. Scripture exhorts every believer to run this race called "life" with a focused intention to bring Him glory and to show His love to all we meet. Not only that, but those whose lives are characterized by obedience to the Holy Spirit will leave our mark on this earth that will last far beyond the number of days we live here. This mark - this memory of who we were and how we lived - is our legacy. God deeply desires for His people to have an impact on the world that can point to His glory for generations, but in order to leave such a legacy, we must lay aside our own agendas and be willing to pay a price. Even so, may it be the cry of our hearts to leave a legacy of the Father's love to those generations that will follow after us.
