Excellent Study Aid for Preparing For CLP Exams

It took me about 6 months of self-study to prepare for the Notes cerification exams. In those 6 months, I have read what must have been every Notes book available and this book was among the finest. It is clear, to-the-point, easy to understand, and provides concise examples. After reading this book, I passed the Domino certification exam with a score of 98%.

Easier to find info in it than the larger books

I have two books that I use. This book, although smaller, covers the URL section in much more detail than the other book that I have for Domino. As another reader stated you need to look online for those URL commands that aren't covered in any book. I found my 'advanced' help at the Notes FAQ - specifically how to target a frame.

Good startup reference

Was published before IE4 and NS4 came out, but it's got a lot of good examples for developers just getting into the thick of Domino using Applets/JavaScript. Good examples on URL's and pointing your users around databases.

Good book for Notes Developers

If you know Lotus Notes development but not so much about Domino-web side- development, this is the book for you. It presumes (thankfully) a measure of develpment experience doesn't try to teach you to develop apps. It just does a great job of teaching you the tools that are available for making good web apps.

In the beginning, one of the few Domino developer's books

This book is a highly condensed resource for Domino development techniques. Although brief, it effectively describes methods and features used in building Domino applications. At one time, this book was the most technical developer's guide available. Most Domino books are very geneic, covering groupware concepts, the server, and basic IDE use. This book is essential to anyone who wants to know anything about developing Web applications using Domino.
