This concise pocketbook is for the emerging leader. The sub-title of this pocketbook: Leaders, leading, the Led, with leadership is the four-part paradigm in which leadership occurs and from which Leaders are made. I am going to try to save you time and improve your outcomes by providing a prepared Leader response about the required equality treatment in the workplace. While this book is written using military leadership ideas that I have inculcated through years of practice, these concepts apply to almost any industry and all leaders. Within each of the four substantive sections there is a leader skill that I want to pass along. The skills I consider the most valuable across the operating requirements spectrum are ethics and Problem Solving; Conflict Sources & Conflict Prevention and Resolution; Developmental Counseling; Mission Receipt Process; and Risk Management process. I also discuss the "3 pillars" of leader development and present the leader model that I follow.
