A solid inspirational guide

Written by Pastor Glenn C. Daman, Leading the Small Church: How to Develop A Transformational Ministry is both a helpful guide and an outspoken call for modern pastors to serve God's word by setting a positive example. Daman stresses that the pastor's role is not to be a visionary or organizational leader, but rather to tend to the spiritual activities of preaching and discipleship, and helping people connect with God. Leading the Small Church covers the biblical, theological, relevant and relational aspects, among others of effective preaching in a small church; the importance of demonstrating Godly character in one's relationships; the qualities embraced by a leader who successfully implements a "family model"; and much more. A solid inspirational guide filled cover to cover with the author's experience-based wisdom. Also highly recommended is Daman's previous guidebook, "Shepherding the Small Church."

Help for the Small Church Pastor

Glenn Daman adds his voice to a growing chorus of others calling for a return to a biblically based approach to pastoral ministry. Daman's experience and his obvious passion for the small church (especially in rural areas) gives this book great credibility. Calls for simplified, Christocentric ministry in a time when managerial models of ministry proliferate are timely and helpful for both the pastor serving in a small church and those contemplating ministry in this context. This book is a must read for those in such situations.
