Phillip Greenslade cuts to the heart issue of what great leadership is all about--serving others. There are dozens of books on Christian leadership. Many of them are just a repackaging of popular secular works on the subject. While other writers have adapted "secular" ideas to Christian leadership, Greeenslade has built on the satement of Jesus, "If you want to be great in the Kingdom of God, learn to be the servant of all."There is certainly room for "how to" and "technical" approaches to leadership in the church. However, learning to serve must be the top priority in any leadership program.Although the organization of the book could have been better, the essential material for this subject is exhausted.If you are looking for an easy read to pass to emerging leaders, this is the perfect book.
