God is Funny...LOOK AROUND!

Jerry Stocking has never failed to touch me. As a friend, a teacher or as an author, Jerry reaches down to the most authentic experience that he can find of simply being human. Laughing With God is not a lofty book filled with lofty ideas. It is a reminder not to take ourselves quite so seriously in a world where whining and weeping will get you 18 minutes with Oprah.What if we could use our thinking to be entertained rather than stuck? Most of us are so thoroughly identified with our thinking or equally so identified with frozen concepts about God that there is little room for true exploration, let alone entertainnment. Laughing With God repeatedly pulls the rug out from under our self inflated ideas and rules and invites us to fall gently into our own sense of delight and play instead.

This book puts the whole game of Life in a proper perspectiv

Laughing With God is like opening a treasure chest of jewels. Not jewels to be stored away for safe keeping, but jewels to be worn, used and played with in this wonderful game we call Life. This book is like the light at the end of the tunnel. I certainly hope it will soon appear as an audio book for I relish the thought of God reminding me to play the game with a light touch as exemplified by a recent dialogue between my daughter-in-law's mate and tiny Lauren. Steve had been camplaining about his life and said, "I just want to go hide." Two-year old Lauren piped up, "I'll count." After reading Jerry Stocking's book I know God was speaking through Lauren.
