Great guide...recommended!

This is a great starter to Java. Explains the concepts of object oriented programming better than any other book on Java I have seen. Also doesn't speak in cryptic terms like many other Java books do. A great start to Java programming!

If you program at night you should have this book

Late night Advanced java is for the programer that does cool thing all though the night. It will show you have to work with sockets and other networking things and it is also great for the new programmer in the block
