TAKE A LOOK

Gwynne Forster takes you on a roller coaster ride that leaves you holding your breath with each page turn of the book allowing you to see that one person can have many personalities but if details are paid attention to you will recognize one you have come to admire. Jacob Covington was a national best seller author who also operative as an undercover operative for the State Department. When his publicist and editors decides that they want him to go on a national book tour he picks up the interest of an editor of a cheesy tabloid newspaper that just so happens want the story of a lifetime and that story is who exactly is Jacob Covington. Allison Wakefield lost her job as a prestigious journalist because she allowed her love life to get involved with her career learning that one mistake was enough and that she would never allow a man come between her career and her goals she goes out on the national book tour with Jack determine to get the goods and land a job at a decent yet comfortable newspaper to redeem herself, but as the two get to traveling they are very evasive about each other but over time feelings begin to grow and they must choose to either go after their hearts or stand by and watch their soul mate walk of the door for the career. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good cat and mouse chase with some conflict thrown into the middle to make the perfect romance story.

fabulous contemporary romance

The Journal Editor Bill Jenkins assigns reluctant reporter Allison Wakefield to dig up skeletons on author Warren Jacob Covington. Allison does not want to be a muckraker, but knows that scandals are what keep the Journal afloat. She decides that she will do the investigative piece, but not destroy the impeccable reputation of the man although she knows Jenkins will not be pleased. Allison tries her hand at being an undercover sleuth as she trails her target, who proves to be very elusive and attractive while on a book tour. She finally encounters Jake in Idlewood Lake, Michigan, and finds she wants him as much as he desires her. However, she digs up an incredible story about his work as an undercover State department operative, but exposing him could cause harm to many people besides being illegal. Gwynne Foster always comes through with a fabulous tale of love and her latest will elate readers due to the strong ethically inclined lead couple and the real headlines backdrop. The story line centers on the romance, but her assignment and his other occupation make a permanent relationship seem impossible. Ms. Foster's fans will appreciate the moral dilemma facing Allison as she must decide what is right even if that might cost her a lifetime of happiness. The headlines exposé involves someone in the Administration illegally giving the name of an operative to the media over a year ago with no one arrested. Thus the audience sees a "real" scenario from the media perspective (did the reporters really need to release the name?) and from the operative's point of view without losing sight of the romance. Great work once again by a sure shot author. Harriet Klausner
