Laser-induced particle acceleration has been a fascinating field of research for the last few decades. The ongoing developments and advancements in the field and structure of particle accelerators have motivated many branches of fundamental and applied research. Motivated and fascinated by this field, laser-induced electron acceleration has been studied in vacuum and plasmas. This research work on the contribution of different laser pulses for the purpose of electron acceleration shall induce researchers and experimentalists to employ appropriate parameters in order to achieve energetic diffraction-free electron beams during laser-electron interaction. The results presented in this book illustrate several interesting physical phenomena and provide a basis for further investigations as direct extensions of our work.
