Classic Clark

This book presents Christian philosopher Gordon H. Clark's response to logical positivism. He asserts that the language philosophers refute themselves in their effort to refute religion. To prove this assertion, Clark takes on Russell, Ayer, Wittgenstein, Carnap, and a host of other similar thinkers. Language and Theology is an excellent example of Clark's skill at making plain the shortcomings of other philosophies while boldly displaying the reasonableness of biblical Christianity.

We Wish It To Be In Print

I just noticed that this book is out of print. This is unfortunate because this is the only book of many that I've read that actually develops a philosophy of language and of theology that allows both language and philosophy to be possible, logical, and understandable. All others fail on one or more of these points; Clark avoids all of the pitfalls.
