Lake Tulare: Extinct lake in California

Lake Tulare was largest body of water in USA west of Missisippi. It was situated in south part of California's San Joaquin Valley and existed until early 20th century when it is dryed out for use of land in agriculture. Its dissapearance caused great changes in local climate with long-term consequences.
