Thank you again Tori!!

Tori Phillips is a wonderful author! It is a delight to read the story of Andrew and Rose. The book is a prequel to Silent Knight and MidSummer's Knight but it takes place after Three Dog Knight. It is wonderful how Tori ties in all the other Cavendish characters into her books! A must read!

A MUST READ!

This book was extraordinary! I love the character Rose. She was great with her strong spirit. She made the story a humorous one. I hope Ms. Phillips write a sequel to Rose and Andrew's story.

Phillips does it again!

Tori Phillips keeps writing some of the best romance around! If you want to read a book that keeps your eyes pasted to the page, then this is the book for you! It is so funny and heart-warming it brought me to tears! This book will stay on the keeper shelf for years to come!

A 'fun' romance to read!

This was a real joy to read. It moved along quickly and I loved both of the two main characters. It was nice to see a 'not so young' hero winning the prize 'Rose.' It is always more interesting to me when a historical romance is set during a real time and place. This is the best book I've read in months. I hope to read more about Jack and some of the other secondary characters in the future!

Excellent histroical romance

In 1550 France, Rosie stands on display at Quince's prostitute tent. Bawdmaster Peter Quince plans to sell the beautiful virgin for a night of debauchery to the highest bidder. Sir Andrew Ford and his three friends observe the sale. Andrew comments that with a bit of soap and instruction he could turn the virgin into a lady. One of Andrew's companions bets him that he is unable to change the "strumpet" into a lady within twelve days. Andrew pays a fortune to outbid an irate Sir Gareth Hogsworthy. To Rosie's shock, Andrew treats her to a hot tub, good food, and excellent clothing. He begins to teach her how to behave like a lady. However, as he begins to fall in love with his charge, his conscience bothers him because he knows she must return soon to the bawdmaster. LADY OF THE NIGHT is an excellent historical romance that is part humor and part serious, but total fun. The entertaining story line is a sixteenth century version of Pygmalion that mirrors Shaw's play as to who is really the teacher and who is the student. The lead characters are warm and enchanting while the secondary cast adds depth with some of them deserving their own tales to be told by terrific Tori Phillips.Harriet Klausner
