perfect amount of everything

I tried many books to learn Korean and didn't get much into it until I tried this series (6 in all) I couldn't stop myself. These books have the perfect amount of everything; vocabulary, grammar, and reading (and all in a very progressive building up of what you are learning). It has just enough easiness that encourages you with equal parts difficulty to keep you challenged and feeling the need to learn more, they just make you feel smarter after doing a chapter or 2. The only thing a little lacking is the audio but I think that's best for a specialized book just for listening practice, it does have audio CD's bt I never tried them much.

Good introductory book for people who are busy

I use these books while I am living in Korea. I review them while riding the bus, and listen to the CDs for the pronunciation. I also used these books with a private tutor. The book emphasizes syntax, dialogue, reading, and practice.
