Gold was captured during the Civil War when the French ship aiding the Confederacy tried to run the Union blockade near Lake Pontchartrain. The De'Laruse matriarch enlists best friends Vicki and Janine to lay to rest long-held rumors of murder and mayhem tying the family name to those nefarious events.
With only a week to decode the riddles left in a Union soldier's journal, it's gonna take more than Jacob Marley's ghost to help solve the mystery once and for all about what happened to the fleur-de-lis imprinted gold bars. The besties better get busy if they want to score a treasure.
Before their goose gets cooked by a killer.
