Features different kinds of kittens. This title also discusses all sorts of things kittens can do, like learning how to wash their faces, playing with others and snuggling.
I bought this book since we took it out from our local library and when it was time to be returned, my daughter was so upset!! We read it nearly every night and know all the words by heart!! It is a wonderful little book with wonderful illustrations and words, and describes the mischief kittens get into to a "T"!! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read to their kids!!
How can you not love these kitties?

The illustrations in this book are enough to earn it five stars. My two year olds love the sing-songy text, and we can do so many things with the kittens (counting, finding body parts, etc.), that this book can be read over and over again. And the ending is always a suprise!
A wonderful read-aloud book for young cat lovers.

Cat lover Susan Meyers presents Kittens! Kittens! Kittens!, a jubilant, rhyming picturebook about the mischief, variety, and passion for life found among kittens everywhere. Kitten-inspired illustrator David Walker graces the bouncing rhyme with roly-poly illustrations of kittens of all colors. "Kittens growing into cats / Strong and nimble acrobats / Chasing mice and rats away, / Taking catnaps through the day." A wonderful read-aloud book for young cat lovers. Also highly recommended is Meyer's previous children's picturebook, "Puppies! Puppies! Puppies!"

Reviewed by Stephanie and Parish (age 3) Rollins for Reader Views (3/07) Susan Meyers wrote "Kittens! Kittens! Kittens!,"and David Walker illustrated it. This book has 29 pages. The font is large. The illustrations are eye-catching. David Walker used pencil sketches topped with layers of acrylic paint. The result is illustrations of kittens that you can feel with your eyes. The illustrations are rich and deep. The kittens are shown is different situations. They romp around, playing. They sleep, tangle themselves in yarn, eat, and explore. The words are sing-song rhymes. In a couple of spots, it reminds me of Dr. Suess--just not as off-the-wall. Parish loves the little girl's dress. Of course, it helps that it is pink; Parish loves all things that are pink. There is a picture of the little girl with her pink dress, sitting on a tree limb. Since reading this book, Parish has developed a fascination with tree-climbing. "Do you like this book?" "I like that dress. I want one like that." "Maybe Meme can make you one like that. Looks at all of these cats! Would you want that many cats?" "No. I don't want cats." "But don't you think they are cute? Look at the gray one. This one looks like it is Siamese. Look at the fluffy tails." "I don't like them." This really surprises me. How can someone, especially my daughter, look at these obviously adorable cats and not think that they are cute? "Are you more of a dog person?" "Yep." "Does this mean that you want to give the book away?" "No. We can keep it." Isaac, my 15-month-old, really likes the pictures in this book. Maybe he will like cats when he gets older. "Kittens! Kittens! Kittens!" is an excellent book for girls starting to read. The rhyming will keep them inspired to keep reading. The most difficult word is "everywhere." That word is found often in beginner books. Never mind that Parish does not like cats, this is a great book.
These kittens will steal your heart!

What a winner! As a fan of Puppies, Puppies, Puppies, I was eager to see this new delightful book of Meyers. And it is another charmer. The text is as playful as a room full of kittens and the artwork will tug at your heart. If you have been tamed by any furry little kitty, buy this for yourself...or give it as a gift to someone you know who loves his or her furry friend. A very happy read indeed.
