Book Overview

Leif Metcalfe and his team, dubbed Reaper, need to recover the stolen, ancient Book of the Wars if they hope to stop the Armageddon Coalition and their pursuit of global economic control. But their attention has been diverted by a prophecy in the book that foretells of formidable guardians who will decimate the enemies of ArC. While Iskra Todorova uses her connections in the covert underworld to hunt down the Book of the Wars, Leif and Reaper attempt to neutralize these agents but quickly find themselves outmaneuvered and outgunned. The more Reaper tries to stop the guardians, the more failure becomes a familiar, antagonistic foe. Friendships are fractured, and the team battles to hold it together long enough to defeat ArC. But as this millennia-old conspiracy creeps closer and closer to home, the implications could tear Leif and the team apart.

Addictive!!

Why can't I give this 10 stars? Hmm? Some books warrant 10 stars and this is one of them! I'm not sure I can wait until November for Souls Raging to come out. I never used to read series as they came out, until I read Ronie Kendig's books. I'll admit it, I'm addicted! In Kings Falling, she returns us to Lief Metcalfe and the team, Reaper, who is still on the hunt for the Book of the Wars. Reaper is tasked with taking down a super army while in the first book, Storm Rising, they fought to end a series of odd storms that were taking place around the world. It all revolves around the Book of the Wars. Lief is not just fighting against this super army with his team but he is fighting the hardest battle of his life mentally. What I loved most about this book is how Ronie Kendig brings awareness to the hardships that our men and women in the military face and how it affects them personally. It's unfortunate that awareness still needs to happen in regards to PTSD and trauma of all kinds. Overall, in typical Ronie Kendig fashion, Kings Falling is a fast-paced, adrenaline inducing, and a mind spinning book that will have you wanting more. I guarantee that you will be sitting at the edge of your seat waiting for the next book to come out in November, like the rest of us Rapid-Fire Fiction fans.
